Hello and welcome. Thank you for taking the time to view our website. It seems impossible to believe but I was in your same position not so very long ago, researching the websites of local UU churches after moving into the area. So look at where my journey has taken me!
There are other places in our site that will describe who we are. It will give you some facts about us: how many of us there are, where we live, and other background information. I do not intend to repeat that information here. Instead, I will offer that we are a growing congregation, excited about the process of welcoming new visitors and friends and members while maintaining our sense of tradition and core UU values. We encourage and offer opportunities to get to know each other on a deeper level. We offer committees to join, fun activities and an emerging small group ministry program. We are engaged in defining our deepest congregational core values by embarking on a year-long mission, vision, and covenant process. We also believe it is vital to look outward at those less fortunate and we donate time and/or money to many worthwhile causes.
We are small enough to care and large enough to offer an exciting dynamic. We acknowledge that each one of our paths may be different and singular but that we can also serve as cheerleaders for one another. We come together because we want to, because we care, because this is our beloved community.
You may visit because we are geographically close. You may visit because you are curious. You may stay because _______________. (Fill in the blank. This is your journey with no easy multiple choice answers. But if you want some fellow seekers, you are off to a good start.)
