Children's Group

The goal of the children's Religious Education Program is to affirm the Unitarian Universalist Purposes and Principles. Our program goals support peace and social justice, promote an acceptance and understanding of all the world's people and religions, and foster a respect for the web of life. In our spiritual community, we all assume a responsibility to create a successful Religious Education experience for our children and to create a community where our children grow up feeling free to explore and discover their own spirituality. We encourage every member of our community to participate in our Religious Education Program in some way. We invite all members of the congregation to be part our program, serve on the Religious Education committee, discuss the curricula, teach classes, help out with special programs, and walk the path with our children to help create a meaningful experience.

Our young people participate in weekly Religious Education classes. They attend the first 15 minutes of the worship service upstairs in the sanctuary with their parents. The children then move downstairs to the classrooms where they attend developmentally appropriate programs. Our current programs and classes are listed in the annual prospectus.
