The Vice President of the Board (President in Training) position needs to be filled beginning July 1, 2007 for a 1-year term. Following is the job description:

  • Substitute in the President’s absence
  • Maintain signing authority as Assistant to the Treasurer
  • Chair the Committee Council
  • Participate in meetings of the Board of Trustees, within the parameters established in the governing bylaws
  • Meet with Minister and President at monthly “pre-board meeting” to discuss agenda and other pertinent executive issues
  • Meet with Minister, President and other board members “at-need” to help in resolving issues
  • Lead the efforts to create and maintain committee charges
  • Performs all of the above within the framework of “OIVEY” (openness and transparency) including the respect for confidentiality where appropriate
