The Treasurer
position needs to be filled beginning July 1, 2007 for a 1-year
term. We are considering this as a co-treasurer opportunity, with the
following job description:
- Report the monthly and annual financial statements
-
Conduct and report all bookkeeping activities:
payroll, income, expenses, tracks investments, etc.

Make appropriate proposals to the Board concerning
budget adjustments

Sign checks
-
Pay about 12 bills per month (usual "household-type"
bills)

"Call in" payroll twice per month
(using ADP payroll services which handle all qtyrly/annual tax
reporting including W2s and 1099s)

Reconcile monthly bank statement
-
Review and track investments (we have a financial
advisor)

Invite Investment Advisor, Gary Sherr, to an
annual board meeting to review investments and to relay needs
(i.e., growth, value, income)

Facilitate the preparation of annual budget
(inputs from committee heads and guidance from board)*

Ensure proper spending controls (using process
in place)

Preparation of monthly financial statements
(income statement, cash position, and "versus budget");
focus on quarterly and year end checkpoints
*Note that the Treasurer does not "own"
the budget but "facilitates" the preparation of it. |
