Auction - Newsletter for February:
Fine Desserts, Entertainment, and Laughter SATURDAY MARCH 29TH
Auction Preview and Dessert: 6:30
Auction: 7:00
It’s time again for our Annual UUSGU Auction. The Auction is more than our biggest fundraiser of the year, it is also one of our biggest social event of the year!
This is a great time to socialize with members and friends of the UUSGU in a relaxed atmosphere, and bid on some unique items that you will not find at any other Auction.
We start the night with a buffet of potluck desserts, wine, and cheese and an Auction preview. Then we relax into our chairs to watch our auctioneers display the generously donated items and services from our members.
And this year’s Auction may prove to be bigger and better than years past!
We just need your help to make this event a smashing success.
First, save the date and plan on attending the Auction. We want EVERYONE THERE. It really is a lot of fun. There is no pressure to bid, but you may be surprised to find something you just can’t live without. Come prepared to have fun (and remember your checkbook- just in case).
Second, please consider donating an item or service to the Auction. Every member has something to give. Consider your special talents, and yes you do have them! Are you a Photographer? Gardener? Historian? Writer? Musician? Computer Wiz? Chef? Why not donate your service to the Auction. It’s a great way to get to know other members. Or maybe you are an artist and you could donate an item such as a painting or a commission to do a portrait. Or you have a business for professional services, such as a massage or facial.
Look around your home. Is there antique furniture that really has no place in your home? Consider donating it to UUSGU.
Do you have access to event tickets to sporting events or theatre productions? Perhaps you work for a company that would be willing to donate an item.
All donations are tax deductible.
Auction donation forms will be available online and in Fellowship Hall. Please return Auction forms by MARCH 15th so we may finalize the auction booklet.
Please contact Roberta Kaplan if you have any questions.
